Line Marking Removal – FAQs

How do you remove lines without leaving shadows?

We use diamond grinding matched to paint thickness and concrete hardness. After removal we feather the surrounding area to minimise contrast (“ghosting”).

Can you work while the site is open?

Yes— we schedule by zone and use dust extraction. For high-traffic sites we can work off-hours to reduce disruption.

Will the floor be ready to repaint?

Yes— we leave a clean, profiled surface ready for new markings or coatings. We can also install the new layout if required.

What about thick epoxy lines or thermoplastic?

We step up tooling and passes as needed. Very thick systems may require multiple cuts; we’ll confirm once we see your photos.

Is there much dust or smell?

We use high-efficiency vacuums; dust is contained. There’s no strong solvent odour since removal is mechanical, not chemical.

How fast can areas reopen?

Often immediately after we finish a zone. If repainting, allow the new coating’s recommended cure time before traffic.
