Floor Preparation – FAQs

What does floor prep include?

Diamond grinding, coating/glue removal, crack and hole repairs, moisture checks, and priming where required. We tailor prep to the finish you want.

Will grinding make a mess?

We use industrial vacuums for dust control. Some fine dust is normal, but we keep it contained and clean up after.

Can you remove old epoxy or tile glue?

Yes—specialist tooling removes most coatings and adhesives. We’ll advise from your photos if extra passes are likely.

Will prep expose stones in the concrete?

Light grinds usually show minimal aggregate; heavier grinds can expose more. Tell us the look you prefer and we’ll plan the cut.

How flat will the floor be?

We can level high spots and fill lows. For severe dips or slopes we’ll discuss compound screeds or alternative fixes.

How soon after prep can we coat?

Often same day if moisture allows and repairs are set. Some primers and repair products require specific cure times— we’ll schedule accordingly.
