Dust Proofing – FAQs

What is dust proofing?

A penetrating densifier/sealer that hardens the surface paste and binds loose fines to reduce ongoing dusting.

How long does it last?

Often several years in light/medium use. High-traffic warehouses may schedule periodic re-coats to maintain performance.

Is it safe around food and stock?

Yes—common systems are low-odour and appropriate for typical commercial storage when cured. We’ll recommend a system to suit your use.

Does it change the look?

Usually a natural look with a slight sheen increase. If you want a decorative finish, consider polished concrete or epoxy.

How fast can we use the area?

Often same day for foot traffic; check product cure for forklifts/vehicles (commonly 24–72 hours).

Can it fix old, flaky sealer?

We’ll first remove failed coatings by grinding, then apply an appropriate dust-proofing/penetrating system.
